To all our patients: The CDC, NYS Dept of Health, ADA, as well as NYS and Suffolk County dental societies have issued a directive designed to insure the maximum safety of our patients during this unprecedented national health crisis. The directive is copied below:... "At this time, it is recommended that dental offices provide only emergency dental care for patients. Elective and non-emergent services should be postponed for a minimum of three weeks. That policy shall be revisited at that time to accommodate further developments regarding COVID-19 and further actions/recommendations from government agencies." In compliance, our office will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to take care of any needed urgent care. And as always, we will see our patient the same day if possible for emergencies. We have always defined an emergency, as anything our patient feels is an emergency. And, we will do our best to continue this policy, however the agencies listed above have defined what they consider a dental emergency to be. Dental cavities or defective restorations causing pain. Swelling inside or outside the mouth Broken or fractured teeth Infection Trauma to the teeth or soft tissues Denture repairs when function impeded Uncontrolled bleeding Any other pain Dental procedures or clearances needed prior to critical medical treatment We cannot see patients who have fever, a cough or other respiratory symptoms or who have traveled out of the country in the past two weeks. As of now, we plan to resume our regular schedule on Monday, April 6. This is of course pending any additional advisories from the CDC or NYS Dept. of Health. If you have an appointment with Dr. Freedman, Pat, Valerie or Dr. Reyes prior to April 6, we will be in contact with you to reschedule.
