Beware. Ticks are very active lately. Check your pets for ticks. Cats are usually good groomers, but I have been seeing ticks in areas like shoulder blades where cats can’t reach.

Pet of the day. A brave German Shepherd who had a run in with a porcupine . Quills inside his mouth. This situation required sedation because even a single quill inside mouth can lead to a dangerous mouth abscess.

Pet of the day is Hope. In for first Lyme vaccine. Puppies can start series of 2 shots at 9 weeks old. Hope was a very good girl about it.

Good news! Local cows headed out to pasture this week. Grass is excellent. The old timers always call grass Dr. Grass meaning that fresh grass will help to restore and strengthen cattle.
