The Dream Factory of Rochester is thrilled and honored to be chosen as a benefit charity by Heroes Brewing Company. Their mission is to make and sell great tasting beer and recognize the Heroes in our community while doing so. Starting this Friday, February 19th when the beer will be introduced, a portion of the proceeds from every can of this New England Double IPA will come to our local organization. On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pay tribute to GKTW founder and Holocaust survivor Henri Landwirth. Like the children the Village serves, Henri k...new all too well what it was like to give up childhood. Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Henri spent 5 years in Nazi death and labor camps, including Auschwitz. His life was spared when a Nazi soldier made a last-minute decision not to execute him. From that day on, I promised myself that one day I would help others not to suffer as much as I did, he once said. We are forever grateful for the tremendous legacy of happiness and hope Henri created for children all over the world. See more

It took a little while, but Ava's boxes finally got opened!

#15. We managed to squeak one more dream in before the end of our fiscal year tomorrow. Matthew is building his own gaming computer. We've purchased all the pieces including a special keyboard and mouse (which was hand delivered today), two monitors and a fancy schmancy gaming chair. Parts are starting to arrive and we know he is excited. "With every package my heart explodes just a little more. " (Matthew's mom)

Rennay Marshall, Ellen Wilson and I met with Dream Factory founder Charles Henault yesterday. When asked how he felt about the Dream Factory being 40 years old, he responded there were a lot of people involved in making the Dream Factory a success. A truly humble person and leader!!

We are hoping to get her some games like an air hockey/billards table, basketball, xbox and some furniture. But first, we/the family needs someone to look at the basement walls which are cement block and figure out what is the best thing to do for making it look nice, be useful, and potentially waterproof. Looking for a contractor in that area who would love to be part of making a child's dream come true.
