Matilda and I had a photoshoot a few weeks back on a warmer fall day with our phenomenal volunteer @jessicazindren. Many of you have followed Bextley Boo's journey as she worked to get better from her original illnesses. Despite clearing up her severe inner ear infection and thiamine deficiency from her past home, we couldn't seem to figure out why she was getting worse rather than improving. It was determined that she was either getting worse due to cerebral damage from her past thiamine deficiency affecting her neurologically or potentially Marek's disease from being immune compromised. ...In either case her body could not compensate from this damage and our little Bextley Boo passed away on Monday. To honor her memory and count your Chicken Queen votes for her still, her good friend and lifelong companion Ursula will fill in for her candidacy on her behalf.
