Coronavirus update and practice update. Getting tested is still very difficult. Ridiculous that New York State was not prepared for this of all states, especially after 9/11 & hurricane Sandy. Please share. Thank God Dr Maloney is negative. Hopefully the rumors to the contrary will stop now. GOT MY TEST RESULT (NEGATIVE). I closed the office before the incubation period so nobody should worry. IT TOOK 5 DAYS TO GET THAT RESULT!! I have to retest in another week and I'll let you know. TESTING REQUIREMENTS REMAIN BASICALLY THE SAME. NEED APPOINTMENT FOR DRIVE THROUGH, & need contact with positive patient or and fever cough shortness of breath etc.elsewhere. ASSUME Y...OU ALL ARE POSITIVE TO STAY SAFE. MY PATIENT ON THE VENT IS STABLE THANKS TO YOUR PRAYERS. BUT, everyone should REMEMBER: BEHAVE AS IF WE ALL TEST POSITIVE AND TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS in order for us to contain this until we can come up with a cure or vaccine or that hopefully this dies off like the seasonal flu does.THIS IS STILL VERY SERIOUS AND AROUND US STILL from what I'm being told by doctors on the front line treating hospitalized patients in our local hospitals and around New York (as well as elsewhere). So this is still very dangerous..Doctors Nurses and all Healthcare workers especially in hospitals tell me that they fell like they're in the middle of a war zone.I'm trying to think of and pray for them when I feel stressed with all that's going on, isolating,social distancing, cooped up etc. that we're all experiencing.
