Yes, we are all basically camping out and waiting for time to pass. And it’s super frustrating. But beneath so many people’s frustration is a shift that is SO positive. People are understandably so focused on fear and what we can’t do that they are not looking as much at the tremendous shifts they have been making. No, you can’t go to dinner, but you’re now open to being vulnerable and asking for help from friends. I mean, mind BLOWN! So proud of all of you for doing some hard work while the fun has been taken away. Keep chugging, this stuff will really come in handy in the other side. #keepgoing #evolution #bringiton #psychology #selfhealing

I know it feels like you can’t do this anymore. And likely overwhelmed with confusing decisions right now. But please take time to reflect on all the hard things you’ve done. While it can be hard to admit that you’ve done it well when it looked so messy, my guess is that mess was pretty darn good (or effective or taught you big things). Keep up the messy hard work. And know that if you’re anxious it’s ok not to push too hard right now. Slow and steady will win this race. Sending you all lots of love.

One of my biggest honors to date! I was recently interviewed on the @talkpsychtomepodcast by one of my amazing clients (I can say that ‘cause he said it first!). Following our work together, Brian was inspired to encourage other people who were resistant to counseling and created The Way Through, a web series, with his amazing wife Tania and their friend Alyssa, which we talk about here. Brian is an actor/comedian (and so much more) and Tania is a psychology researcher, so the podcast and web series are absolutely hysterical while giving some great advice. Please please please check them out. You will be happy you did. And you can hear me laughing my butt off (much like I do in session) with these amazing people. What an honor! #thewaythrough #psychology #podcast #psychpodcast #psychologypodcast

Have you been feeling a little floaty lately? Maybe a bit less connected to reality? You are SO not alone. While we have all been in this odd state of pause for 9 months, our systems may also be removing some connection to reality because it’s a lot to process if you truly take it all in. Remember to keep doing things that make you feel connected to yourself, take news breaks, bring in the creative, and shoot for short term joys where you can get them. Things WILL change. Don’t give up right at the end of the marathon. Step back, breathe, recoup, and get back in there. You can do this! #resilience #love #keepgoing
