I am humbled by the generosity of the Michels Family, whose gift will endow the Michels Family Professorship - the first-ever such endowment in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. I will carry that title proudly, in honor of a child I was privileged to treat. Sophie is a young adult now, and nothing makes me happier than to see her now. I'm grateful to have played a role in her life, and grateful to her parents for their amazing gift.

Joaquin had fractured his skull, badly, and was bleeding profusely in his brain. He would need emergency surgery, doctors told Angela, and time was of the essence. Weill Cornell Medicine Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center

I'm delighted to share that Heather McCrea, who completed her residency here and has gone on to be a terrific pediatric neurosurgeon at the University of Miami, is working on a new series of online lectures called the Miami Global Pediatric Neurosurgery Zoomposium. I am proud to be presenting at the first lecture, on Monday, November 9, from 5-6 pm EST on the topic "The Evolving Landscape of Pediatric Neurosurgical Oncology." Register at https://miami.zoom.us/we/register/WN_QzB-xOimQf2kWmkjJOuBpQ Hope to see you there!

In a letter of thanks, Dr. Colletti wrote, Although I consider it a miracle, I know that the kind of success you have achieved with me and others with a colloid cyst can only result from greatness of vision and leadership, detailed planning, impeccable execution, and continuous learning as you have from systematic data collection and analysis. A master makes it look easy.
