Today is First Responders Day. Today we celebrate everyone who responds first in time of crisis, disaster, emergency and survival need. The membership of the Corps is grateful not only for our members but also for our partners and collaborators in our service to the Town of Duanesburg and the County of Schenectady. If you see a first responder today, please join me in thanking that person for his/her service. We don't need gifts, handshakes or hugs ... all we ask for decency, courtesy and respect.

Duanesburg Ambulance is pleased to announce that AIDAN ENDERS has been selected as the Schenectady County Youth Provider of the Year and the Hudson-Mohawk REMSCO Youth Provider of the Year .... and he is also a finalist for the NYS Youth Provider of the Year .... It isn't every day that a young member rises to the top of the pool when it comes to ambitious, dedicated and determined to not only provide outstanding quality care but to continue learning from each and every resp...onse. A fearless young man, Aidan responded to a roll over motor vehicle crash on I-88 where the vehicle had rolled over into the median and then into a ravine .... his initial response into the ravine with the New York State Police brought Aidan to be first on the scene with a patient hanging upside down in her car .... his calm, cool approach helped keep the response focused in a positive direction and brought the necessary resources to help improve the situation ... Aidan joined the Corps several years ago and has proven to be an amazing asset to the organization as he has volunteered to not only respond to calls but also helping with fish dinners, administrative tasks and serving on the medical leadership team. In addition, Aidan is no stranger to the Fire Service as the Junior Captain at Delanson Fire for three years and as EMS Lieutenant this year. Aidan sets a strong example as a future leader in emergency services and an outstanding leader today. Please join the members of the Corps in congratulating Aidan on this fine and well-deserved recognition.

The Corps is pleased to congratulate the Duanesburg Central School Class of 2020 on their Commencement this evening. Additionally, we would like to recognize Class of 2020 Co-President Aiden Enders and class members Justin Colucci, both members of the Corps, for achieving this incredible level of education. Both Aiden and Justin plan to pursue their education further in emergency services ~ we could not be more proud.
