I’m finally getting to post my stairway refresh! I saw these white sunflowers, and fell in love with them! We are a large family , so we have a lot of hats, jackets, and coats. I decided to add some more Command Strips to the wall. They can hold up to 5 pounds. If you decide to use these, make sure you take your time, and follow the directions. If you don’t, they will fall off your wall. Yep, I learned that the hard way! I really love how it came out, I’m usually a blingy... lady. This is a little rustic for me. My husband commented about how he likes the space this morning. I’m glad he likes it, he does live here too. The colors are cool, yet it still feels warm! This makes me happy! I love to feel hugged by my home, do you?#quarantine #renovation #renovationproject #interiordesign #stairway #diy #paintingwalls #bluepaint #homeprojects #fall #falldecor #sunflowers #citylife #brooklyn #brooklyndesigner #brooklyndesignersrock #functionalandfabulousdesigns

Well, I added paint the cream color that’s on the top of wall to the blue paint twice. I still didn’t achieve the color I wanted. Sooo... back to store for me. I found a color that matches my wall paper online. Painting definitely teaches patience. Paint looks different depending on the lighting. It also tends to dry darker. I like how it looks further down the stairs, but when I sit in my dining room. No bueno, the colors don’t blend well. If you chose to use different colo...rs they should blend. The blending of colors keeps your eyes happy! The journey continues please stay tuned. #quarantinepainting #dyi #keepingtrying #nevergiveup #interiordesign #interiordecorating #renovation #womanpainttoo #foyers #blue #itwillbebeautiful See more

Hey Guys! I hope your day is going well! Color is one of my favorite parts of design! My sister turned 50 in July! We planned to go to Jamaica for an awesome birthday turn up. Unfortunately, you all know what happened to our plans! It’s ok though, we thank God we are all still alive. Covid has caused my creativity to sail! Did you catch that?! Moving on, can I tell you that I’m in love the beach! The serenity, the sea air, and the colors are everything! That being sa...id, I decided to update some areas in my home. The goal is experience more of a beach vibe at home! Especially since, our summer vacay didn’t happen. Now, I picked this wall color to remind my fam, and I of the beautiful blue green Caribbean waters. Also, to match my abstract painting I told you guys about yesterday. Hmm... I’m not quite sure how I feel about he color yet. I’ll let you know tomorrow! Blessings!

I’m over this pale blue right now, so time to change the paint color. This quarantine has forced us to see things we never really noticed, and it has given us the time to deal with what needs to be dealt with. It’s amazing what you can do, when you have extra time. I absolutely love art! Somehow a beautiful abstract piece found it’s way in my trunk! She is my motivation to get this plastering and painting done. Let’s be clear plastering and sanding has been challenging... for me. Thankfully, I have learned to be more patient, and make the best of the process. I’m proud of my smooth walls!YouTube has been my ready and willing teacher. Well, I’m off to get some more plaster.
