Oneida County Fire Service Training extends congratulations to Chief James "Butch" Staffo on his retirement as a NYS Fire Instructor. Chief Staffo served as an ...SFI for over 41 years. The longest continually serving SFI in the state. His commitment to the fire service and to training firefighters is second to none. In that 41 plus years, thousands of firefighters were trained by Chief Staffo. Additionally, Chief Staffo mentored SFI's in Herkimer and Oneida Counties and across the state. Chief Staffo has had a record of commitment and dedication to the fire service and has helped advance the fire service here in the Mohawk Valley. We wish Chief Staffo the best in retirement!!
