Mary Opwam-Beaulieu is a Plains Cr...ee Sweet Grass First Nation community member. She took her first holistic food course in 2007 while working on her Bachelor of Arts at University nuhelot’ne thaiyots’ nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills, which opened her eyes to the importance of Indigenous food sovereignty. She has written and coordinated many programs for Indigenous people including nutrition, and employment as well as self defense for Indigenous women.
