Eagle Ridge Youth Ranch

Lesson days and times have been posted on the app! they start Saturday May 1st! The following Saturday May 8th we are closed. We have a wedding to attend! there is limited availability sunday may 9th in the afternoon. Monday nights are our therapy session nights.... Ther other days that we are closed throughout the week will be used as potential rain dates for any lessons rained out! I may be approaching some of my my more advanced riders about the potential of semi private lessons. (Riding with one other rider.) The price will remain the same but the time will be extended by 15 mins for the lesson. We will also be grooming and tacking horses again this year! I know many missed this time last year as we tried to navigate covid. The rider will expect to groom and tack or untack either before or after their lesson. *Please come 5 mins early and plan for an extra 5 mins at the end of the lesson for a total of 10 extra mins for grooming either before or after.* This year’s announcements and COVID protocols will be sent out to rider’s and their family’s soon! It’s officially spring!! We hope you all are enjoying the beautiful warmer weather! Many of you are wondering when we will be opening and what programs will be offered this year! First off, we will NOT be offering summer camps. This has been a tough decision because we love seeing all of our camp kids and spending extended hours in the sunshine with them. Unfortunately, it will not work for this year. ... Secondly, our doors are opening the first week of May, weather permitting. This includes for both lessons and therapy sessions. For lessons- you can schedule your lesson on our scheduling link. Lesson times are first come, first serve and you do have to pay at the time of scheduling. For older more advanced students I would like start encouraging them to take part in semi private lessons (riding with one other rider) and we will have special days in the summer that we will have almost like a mini camp for them but only one day here and there. For therapy sessions- we have the awesome opportunity to work with YFC again this year and they have even more kids they want to participate. We are so very excited to have them out again! We have been praying for a bigger, stockier horse for older, larger kids. May she be the answer to our prayers!

Equine services offered to disadvantaged youth. We specifically team up with Youth for Christ an...d work with the kids from the Albany location. The kids come to the ranch spring-fall and are offered one on one time with a volunteer and a horse. They learn how to properly care for their horse, the basics of riding and most of all learn about the love Jesus has for each one of them. Even in the midst of the chaos of 2020 we were still able to serve the youth and watch them blossom. We are very excited for 2021 and the lives that we (and our horses) will be able to touch. We can not do this without your generous donations as the kids come free of charge. We are run purely off of monthly or one time supporters. Please contact us if you have any questions!

It’s hard to believe that this years sessions are coming to an end. As the days get shorter and colder we give the leaders and the horses a much needed break! Maybe some day we can dream for an indoor arena to continue through the winter!
