This image speaks volumes. While we are being positive about going back to school, this photo of my 6th grader just makes me a little sad. Both my kids weren't excited to check out their new school. It wasn't a big deal to them and it seemed like they were actually put out by having to go to orientation. Our kids feel the pulse. They sense that parents are up in arms about whether they should be in the classroom or not. Should they take the bus or not? Should they hang... out with their friends or not? School is starting and I'm anxious to have the kids back on a routine. Maybe it is the mask that squelches the smile. What I do want is to see that twinkle in my son's eyes that he is excited too. Oh and I predict complete chaos with the new lockers on the first day. Last number of combo is not really the last number. We all struggled trying to open, even the custodian. What is promising is that kids are not phased by much and these small things that we parents are worried about are probably not even on our kid's radar. Here's to resiliency!

My son is going into 9th grade and I'm so happy to have these memories of him and his friends.

Replenished our supply of bath bombs this past weekend. David loves making them. All natural, eucalyptus and fresh pomegranate to make them pink. So easy. Of course, I had to have some fun taking pictures of them. David was the bubble blower and even took some of the shots while I was on bubble duty. He wants to edit the shots together too. Lesson in Photoshop. The cute bath bombs are nestled in my soap-dish which I made last session at the pottery studio. I though...t it looked like a mini bathtub. Have you made bath bombs? I'm so thankful for the photographs I have taken of my children when they were little. If you know me, then you know my memory is pretty awful. Not Dory awful but pretty bad. I can't seem to remember the giggles and the smells of times past too well. When I look at pictures though, it brings it all back. I can feel the moments that we had very clearly. It is so important to me as I know I can't count on my memory. I'm happy to give these moments to a beautiful Earth & Skye Mama Rebecca Margaret. My garden beds are in full swing this year. Last year I spent the first half of the Summer building them. I only got half a season in. All the work paid off because I love them now.
