Town Hall Administrative Offices are closed December 24th and 25th. Happy Holidays to all!
Thank you for Eastchester Beautification Foundation for carrying on the tradition of Holiday Lights at Memorial Park. Foundation Co-Presidents Maura McMahon and Judy Blau lit the Christmas Tree, Menorah and Crèche to start off the Holiday Season here in Town earlier this month. Thank you to EBF for helping to keep our Town Beautiful throughout the year.
Today Patricia Covino of Eastchester and Adelaide DiGiorgi of Tuckahoe were inducted into the Westchester County Senior Hall of Fame in a virtual ceremony. To be nominated, seniors must have made significant and enduring contributions to enhance Westchester’s quality of life through their professional work, volunteer achievements or both. Nominations are made by members of the community, and the honorees are selected by a panel of judges. The names of past honorees are engraved on plaques that are permanently displayed at the DSPS office in Mount Vernon. Congratulations to Patricia and Adelaide and Thank You for all you do for our Town!
Town Hall Administrative Offices will be closed today, Thursday December 17th due to the winter storm.
We wanted to just send out a friendly reminder that starting tonight, December 1st the overnight 2am-6am parking restriction goes into effect until March 15th 2...021. If you have questions regarding this restriction please call us at 914-961-3464. PARKING RESTRICTIONS UPDATE There seems to be some confusion among residence about if there street is still exempt or not. No changes were made for exempt streets so if your street was exempt last year it’s still exempt this year. If you’re unsure if your street is exam please send us a direct message and we will let you know.
Contrary to misleading social media posts, the Town Board meetings and Public Hearings are open to the public. Members of the public wishing to address the Board can wait in the Community Room (socially distant) where the meeting is broadcast live on TV, then proceed to the meeting room, one person at a time, to address the Board. This procedure has worked well at prior meetings and keeps everyone safe while affording everyone an opportunity to speak. Thank you.
IMPORTANT NOTICE In anticipation of the large snow storm all sanitation, recycling and bulk pick-up scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, December 17th) is suspended. Please do not put your sanitation, etc. out for pick-up. Your sanitation will be picked-up on Monday and your recycling /bulk will be picked up on Wednesday. The normal schedule will resume on Friday. Kindly curb your trips and travelling so the Highway Department can do its job. Thank you and be safe.
