Thanksgiving is here again. We cherish this holiday steeped in traditionfamily, gratitude, sharing, and a celebration of life’s bounty--but this year will be like no other. Many of us will not be attending large family gatherings. We can see the faces of loved ones on Zoom, but we can’t hug them or sit next to them at the table. We are weary of the pandemic and grieve the loss of this special time, even as we know that staying safe is the right thing to do. Yet there is s...o much to celebrateand much we can all do to keep the spirit of Thanksgiving alive. Across the Easterseals New York family, our educators, therapists, social workers, support staff, and so many others are working to ensure equity for all, and a safe and healthy holiday season. We can all help in our own way, by checking in on a neighbor who is alone, arranging for safe delivery of a meal, or setting an example for others by showing that we can stay safe without sacrificing joy and celebration. We are grateful for so muchfor the opportunity to serve, for our dedicated staff and board, and for you, our friends and supporters, who inspire us to continue to bring #ThePowerOfPossible into so many lives.
