Our team wishes you a happy holiday season!
Local Law 69 of 2017 stated that all buildings in NYC that are greater than 3 residential units (therefore, subject to a Multiple Dwelling Registration with HPD) shall file with HPD each and every December on four pieces of information with regards to bed bugs: 1) Number of Dwelling Units 2) Number of Units with Bed Bugs in Past Year 3) Number of Units Positive and Treated... 4) Number of Units Re-Infested The data used for the December filing is from October - November in the prior year. Not filing your bed bug disclosure is a violation with HPD and subject to penalties / fines. In addition, if your building is not presently validly registered with HPD, you cannot file your bed bug disclosure, so your building will be in double violation territory.
