Protect our kids, families and envir...onment by properly disposing of your unwanted and expired medicines. Medicines in the home are a leading cause of accidental poisoning and flushed or trashed medicines can end up polluting our waters. Rates of prescription drug abuse are alarmingly high - over half of teens abusing medicines get them from a family member or friend, including the home medicine cabinet, and often without their knowledge. PRESCRIPTION DRUG ABUSE AND ADDICTION OFTEN LEADS TO HEROIN USE. THE LANCASTER POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL AGAIN BE HOSTING A DROP OFF SITE AT TWIN DISTRICT FIRE HALL - 4999 William Street in Lancaster. Thank you to our friends at Twin District Volunteer Fire Department for once again hosting this important community event! So, on Saturday, April 24th...from 10:00am - 2:00pm...drive in....drop off...no questions asked.

Did you know that the Essential Care for Children Program offers Hospice as well as Palliative care services? Hospice care is provided when the goals of care focus more on comfort than curative treatments. Palliative care is for children who are living with a chronic life-limiting or life-threatening illness.. The major goals of care include improving symptom management and ER/hospital avoidance. Both Hospice and Palliative care focus on improving quality of life and providing support to children and their families.
