Easter Sunday Christ is risen! Indeed He has risen! Fr. Seamus Campbell was the celebrant today assisted by Deacon Denise LaVetty. We did the Renewal of Baptismal Vows in addition to the Eucharist. ... Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen provided the bagged lunches and Roxo Events provided the very festive lunch. Salad, Chicken Salad, Orzo Salad, rolls, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Much thanks to Rodrigo Rosas and his crew for a spectacular lunch, enjoyed by everyone. Thanks again to Marian Voetberg for providing wonderful piano music. Christ is risen! Indeed He has risen!
Palm Sunday Fr. Seamus Campbell was the celebrant today assisted by Deacon Denise LaVetty. Blessing of the Palms, without a procession this year. We did the dramatic reading of the Gospel today, which was spectacular! And continued in the Breaking of the Bread and the Apostles' teaching and fellowship. ... The Ecumenical Outreach Partnership and Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church served 117 meals to our homeless friends and neighbors in Midtown Manhattan today. We also provided clothing essentials.

We celebrated our first Eucharist since March today. We celebrated the Dormition of the Mother of God. Thanks to Michael Ottley at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, we had lunches to distribute. Derrick was a great help! He picked the lunches up and brought them to Transfiguration on Friday. ... It was great to see members of our congregation. We ran into Afif on the street and gave him lunch.
Ecclesia Madison Square Park will begin services again on August 16th in the lovely garden of the Church of the Transfiguration at 2:00 pm. Church of the Transfiguration is located at 1 E. 29th St. (Between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue). Fr. Seamus Campbell will be the celebrant for the foreseeable future. Masks will be required. Communion will be distributed using "Remembrance Cups" which contain a wafer and juice. Although not the best way of distributing communion, ...it is an extraordinary way in an extraordinary time. Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen is going to be helping to provide lunches.
