Before leaving your car for repairs, please make sure you have at least 1/8-1/4 tank of gas if you can, unless your repair requires removing the gas tank. In the winter we have to run, defrost and move cars for plowing. We test drive after doing repairs and setting monitors or burnishing new rotors require a longer drive. Thank you!

Your vehicle has recommended service intervals on a number of items to help prevent damage and promote optimal functioning and safety. Here is and example of some gas removed from a fuel filter that we changed on a vehicle with running issues. You can find the service recommendations in your owner's manual.

Turning off your wiper blades before you turn off your car not only prevents damage to the blades it prevents damage to the windshield wiper motor. Especially on days like today when it is just wet in the morning but your blades might be frozen on later this afternoon. Your car always completes the cycle, so turn them off before you turn off the car.... Have a great day!

We service air conditioning . Use caution adding refrigerant yourself. Too much can ruin your system and releasing the refrigerant into the air is bad for the ozone and you because it is illegal. Some cars have cabin air filters and these can become very dirty leaving you breathing dust filled air at the very least. If you find your eyes watering and cough and sneeze in your car or have someone with asthma or allergies in your family, make sure you have a clean cabin filter. We have found dirt, leaves, pine needles and signs of rodents in these when we change them. If you would like to know if your vehicle has a cabin air filter (filters the air flowinig into the car cabin) give us a call!

It is time to think about getting your snow tires off because the snow will end......call us for an appointment for any of your car service needs!

While we have not been granted an inspection station and remain on the NYS waiting list, we can do an pre-inspection on your car before you take it somewhere to give you an honest diagnosis on necessary repairs to pass inspection if needed. Ed is a NYS certified inspector. Helpful knowledge: An inspector cannot scrape off your inspection sticker for not passing inspection if it is still within the month that your sticker is set to expire. So if you are not sure it will pass and you are taking it to an inspection station, do so before your sticker expires. You can only get a 10 day extension for an emissions problem, not a safety issue if the sticker is expired.
