Firefighter Close Call in Brooklyn NY earlier today. A member from FDNY was seriously injured this morning when a window mounted air conditioner struck him w...hile he was walking alongside the fire building. Companies responded around 0850 hours for a fire on the first floor, with 2nd floor extension in a private dwelling at 1962 85th St. in Bensonhurst. This is a reminder that wearing your PPE is critical! His helmet did its job and has kept him alive! But his injuries are extensive. We are hoping he has fast and full recovery.
