Montague Monty Congreaves has been with Edison ParkFast for over 30 years. Today, he manages the parking facility at 88 Leonard Street in Manhattan and enjoys... that his job includes mentoring. It doesn’t take me long to spot a candidate with potential and steer them on the right path, he shared. Monty attributes his success to the role models he had: his mother was a teacher and his dad was a cop. You can’t get better role models than those two, he said. Monty acknowledges that a successful workplace is built from those with different backgrounds, races, and life experiences. The better we appreciate and understand one another, the more harmonious and productive we can be, he explained. Monty said that the fact that so many people and companies, including Edison Properties, are paying greater attention to the influence of Black history and culture today is in itself a reflection of changes occurring for the better."

It's been a few weeks since Roosevelt community4u took over one of our Newark locations to use as a food donation distribution location but our hearts are still full. If you have a creative use for a large outdoor space and would like to connect with us, email: [email protected].

Today we join together as a community in marking the historic pain that racial inequality has caused in the past while also celebrating Juneteenth and the diver...sity of our country. While reflecting on how we can achieve continuous self-development and lasting change, Edison Properties, as a family of businesses, is compelled to act. We’ve announced programs such as our Diversity and Inclusion Council, Supplier Diversity Management Program, internal mentorship, and external community volunteer initiatives. We’ve started conversations as a team, and while those are sometimes difficult, we must have these discussions in the workplace and within our community to create real and lasting change in the fight against racism. We stand with those who abhor injustice and who challenge biases. Bias exists, but we can only move beyond the injustice that bias creates with increased awareness and commitment to change. Each of us can make a difference in our world. Edison Properties is dedicated to helping foster a long-term solution by listening, learning, and acting together.
