The mulch has been delivered. Please please please we need YOUR help! We have a small fraction of the volunteers we need to finish the playground this weekend. We’ll be working Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am on. Please come even if you can stay an hour. We really need volunteers to be able to reopen the playground! A massive thank you to all our volunteers who came out to help clean up the playground yesterday! We NEED YOU this Sunday October 25! We will be starting at 8:30 and going until the project is completed. We have to finish this project on Sunday! The playground is currently closed to students and cannot reopen until the project is completed. We need at least 40 people otherwise the playground will remain closed until springtime. We will be finishing the dirt removal and puttin...g down new mulch. Please bring shovels and wheelbarrows and anything else that can help! Lunch will be provided and children are welcome. Update: Casey Stocking has graciously volunteered to lead a clean up day on Saturday October 24 starting at 8:30am. We will be working both days this weekend! Many community members reached out but were unavailable Sunday so now we will be working both days. We can’t wait to get this project done

Pembroke friends: We’re going to be doing a clean up day at the primary school playground this Sunday, October 18 and next Sunday October 25. We are going to be removing the rest of the dirt this weekend and putting the new mulch down next weekend. We have taken many trucks of dirt out and the project is very close to being done. We are so thankful to the many volunteers who have helped us over the past weeks to make this playground a safe and fun place for our community. Lunch will be provided. We plan to start the cleanups at 8:30 and go until the project is finished. Any shovels, wheelbarrows, gloves, etc that may be helpful please bring! Happy first of school Pembroke Dragons! We want to thank our amazing community members who worked throughout the weekend to clean up the playground for the kids first day back. We have an amazing community here in Pembroke and we wish all our teachers and students a fun and safe first day (Also for anyone interested we are going to be having a playground meeting September 22 at 8am at the primary school to talk about further revamping the playground.)

We are so thankful to the community for the outpouring of support for this weekends playground cleanup! We have very exciting news, the Pembroke Corfu Darien Kiwanis Club has donated food for all volunteers. We will have coffee and donuts Saturday and Sunday morning as well as hot dogs, water, and chips at lunch time. We are planning to cleanup Saturday from 9am to 3pm and Sunday from 9am until finished. Please bring shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows and anything else that may help with the cleanup. Thank you so much to everyone who has volunteered their time. To anyone who is planning to come but has not reached out yet, please call or text Danielle Arnold at (716)725-4175 and let her know your coming. We are trying to plan for food so please let us know even if you plan on coming for a short time. All help is appreciated!

Pembroke friends: We are working with the Pembroke Primary School to clean up the playground for the first day of school on September 14. Our beautiful playground needs our help! We will be supplying a dumpster and everyone who is able and willing is needed. We will be removing the weeds and mulch. Donations will also be... welcome to supply the new mulch. We want to make this playground beautiful for the children in our community! Cleanup will be Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13.
