Mapping out your placement before you start coloring helps ensure you end you end up with the exact desired result. I am constantly playing with my placement to... improve! You wouldn’t drive to a destination without knowing how to get there, so take time for a thorough consultation with both your guest, the hair as well as yourself! Here I did back 4 back to back baby lights around entire front hairline, alternating slices and weaves. I then took two 1 diagonal forward section just behind the babylights and balayaged them starting 3 down from the scalp. Working in a pinwheel section in her crown area, I did all slices. This technique will give you the most natural looking placement of highlights.
