It’s that time of year! Just a reminder that there are no practices/classes this week (Monday-Friday). The gym reopens on Saturday, September 12th for our Rec/HS program, and full year teams begin following the Fall Schedule as of Sunday, September 13th. We wish all of our athletes and families a safe, healthy, and happy beginning to the 2020-2021 school year!

The Fire House - introducing your 2020-2021 staff!

Elite Heat’s Half Year prep teams are a great opportunity for athletes to participate in all star cheer! The program is designed for ages 6-18, and the season runs from November - April, with teams practicing twice per week. In addition to team practice, Half Year Prep athletes are also offered additional tumbling instruction. These teams compete in the all star prep category offered by the USASF, and our Prep teams are scheduled to attend 3-4 competitions in Buffalo and Roch...ester for the 2020-2021 season. Most of all, our athletes have FUN - learning skills and increasing cheer knowledge, making new friends, and performing confidently on the competition floor. All Star prep is the perfect way to incorporate all interested athletes into all star cheerleading, whether they are brand new to cheerleading, gymnasts/dancers/other athletes that would like to try a new sport, current recreation/school cheerleaders that want to continue cheering after football season, and families that can commit to the convenient local competition schedule. If you ask around the gym, so many of our athletes fell in love with the sport of all star cheerleading in the Half Year Prep program! The Summit Championship is the most prestigious and competitive end-of-season event for non-Worlds division teams, hosted in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney World in early May. Elite Heat has competed at the Summit every year since earning our first bid in 2015! Over the years, we have competed in the following divisions: Youth 1, Youth 2, Junior 1, Junior 2, Junior 3, Senior 2, Senior 3, Senior 4.2, Senior 4, and Senior 5 restricted. Every year, earning bids becomes more co...mpetitive. During our competition season, many events offer bids for teams that score highest in their levels. After a weekend competition, on the following Monday at 8pm, teams that may be eligible get together for bid-reveal parties at the gym, where they watch the bid results together in a slideshow created by Varsity. It is so much fun to watch our athletes and families celebrate together, and adds even more excitement to the season! The cheerleading industry made some changes for this upcoming 2020-2021 season, now hosting the Orlando Summit for Junior and Senior divisions only. However, Regional Summits are now taking place for elite teams Tiny-aged and above. Elite Heat plans to attend the Regional Summit in Louisville, Kentucky in April, as well as the Summit in Orlando, FL for our Junior and Senior teams in May. We can’t wait to take the climb with our athletes this season!
