Ellis Hollow Community Center

Wonderful news!

Scouts from Ellis Hollow Troop 55 were busy this week-end. :) Some took part in a 20 Mile hike, where the rain gave us a chance to check out wet weather gear. ... Others worked on Eagle Projects-- building archery target stands for the YMCA, and enclosing part of a pavilion at the Newark Valley Fire Dept. If you're looking for socially distanced activities for your youth-- consider joining scouts. We have a great time. :) See more

My heart is sad that our nursery school outdoor space was vandalized last night (Friday, Oct. 30, 2020). Drapes were torn down, targets dismantled, small items strewn around, and our plexiglass easel smashed. Yes, it could have been much, much worse, and yes I (sadly) expected this might happen but it hadn't until now. Our outdoor classroom is a public space and we welcome the community to enjoy it when we are not using it (Mon- Fri mornings). All we ask is that structures and materials are respected and returned to the way they were found.
