Phase 3 opens in the Finger Lakes Region tomorrow... in accordance with that, we will officially be reopening on Monday, June 15th. We will be available in the office tomorrow for scheduling, plus a handful of clients that are already booked, so feel free to call, email, or message us here for appointments. As always, sessions are by appointment only. We ask you to not arrive too early and to minimize any visitors you bring. If you are being driven by someone else, we ask tha...t they either remain in the car or they are free to sit at the picnic table outside. If you need a ride to pick you up after your appointment, unfortunately, we cannot let you wait in the waiting room - you can wait at the picnic table behind the building or, if you prefer, there is a bench under a covered opening in the front of the building. At the time of your appointment, if you are currently COVID positive, have COVID symptoms including a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or a sudden, unexplained recent loss of smell, or, during the 14 days prior to your appointment you had been in close contact with COVID symptoms, participated in a mass gathering, or visited in a region during a significant infection, we ask that you reschedule your appointment to protect us and our other clients. In accordance with state guidelines, you are expected to wear a mask to your appointment if you are medically able to do so. We do have a limited supply of surgical masks that we can provide for your current and future appointments. Hand sanitizer is available in the waiting room or feel free to wash your hands in the bathroom or in our treatment rooms before and/or after your appointments. As a reminder, although we are following all state, federal, and our own extra precautions, we cannot guarantee that it is impossible to contract COVID-19 during a visit or our office. All appointments are scheduled with your implicit informed consent that it is still possible to contract a disease during a pandemic. If you fear that you are at high risk of contracting COVID-19, have underlying conditions that may cause severe infection or death, or are simply afraid to go out in public, we ask that you wait until you are comfortable before you schedule an appointment. Finally, we understand that, these are difficult times for everyone, especially financially... As a gesture of our gratitude for your patronage moving forward, even though our operational costs have increased, we are not currently planning to raise prices or enact surcharges to cover those extra costs. We have always stocked a 6-12 month supply of gloves and other PPE, so we're hoping that, by the time we do need to resupply, the availability and prices will have returned to normal. We look forward to seeing you soon, Keri and Natalie

Today, Governor Cuomo decided that electrolysis and other personal care services, except for cutting scalp hair, are too dangerous for Phase 2, and have pushed us into Phase 3. Given that Emancipated Electrolysis was built with the control of infectious disease in mind from day 1, the only changes we need to make in our regular operation amount to "wearing a mask is necessary instead of optional." In anticipation of Phase 2 beginning today and personal care salons originally ...being included in it, we had a nearly full week already booked for next week. I'll be calling to reschedule your appointments. I'm sorry. I'm also sorry for making this statement terse, since I'm currently rather emotional about this news after all of the time and money I've put into the business over the last few months in anticipation of reopening. Today, the Finger Lakes Region entered Phase 1 of reopening, and the governor confirmed that personal service salons will be able to open during Phase 2. First, we'd like to take a moment to remind everyone to be safe, especially with warmer days coming, the upcoming Memorial Day, etc. Just because we can resume some level of activity doesn't mean we can let down our guard. Second, if everything goes well over the next two weeks, Phase 2, including electrolysis, will be able... to begin May 29th. We have a plan in place and almost the entirety of it consists of things that we were already in place to protect our clients and staff, since the day we opened. You can find a copy of our plan here: www.emancipatedelectrolysis.com//what-we-are-doing-to-mak/ Although we understand that some of our most vulnerable guests will want to wait until things are safer to venture out, we are now officially booking appointments beginning on June 1, though they will be subject to being rescheduled if Phase 2 is delayed. We ask you to read our plan, so that you can prepare to comply with your part of keeping yourselves, our other guests, and our staff safe. Namely, we ask you to: * You reschedule your appointment if you are feeling ill, have a fever of 101 or higher, have a persistent cough or tightness in your chest, or you have been in contact with a person that is positive for COVID-19 during the last 14 days. We will do a quick screening verification once you have arrived. * We love our clients to be on time, but try to only be a few (5-10) minutes early instead of a half hour or more early to minimize the number of people in the waiting room * Refrain from bringing unnecessary visitors into the suite with you - minors are always allowed to have a person present * Make use of the sanitizer in the waiting room and then wash your hands once you're in the treatment room * Wear a mask, though you may need to remove it during treatment if we're working on your face. Reasonable exceptions will be granted on a case by case basis for masks, support persons, etc. If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment, the easiest ways to contact us are to message us here on fb, email us at [email protected] (Keri / owner) or [email protected] (Natalie's clients). You may also call the office at 585-270-5230. However, we are not consistently in the office right now, so you should leave a message and we'll call you back the next time we're in the office. See www.EmancipatedElectrolysis.com for more information. Stay safe and talk to you soon! Keri and Natalie

Today, Governor Cuomo announced that the Finger Lakes Region is allowed to proceed to Phase 1 of reopening on May 15th. Assuming Phase 1 goes okay, Phase 2 should begin on May 29th. With that in mind, We currently anticipate being able to reopen on June 1, 2020.... That date may be subject to change depending on the metrics involved with Phase 1. You can see our tentative comprehensive plan to reopen here: https://www.emancipatedelectrolysis.com//what-we-are-doin/ The short version that clients need to know, amounts to: - we will be screening everyone at the time of your appointment: if you are sick or you have been in contact with someone that has COVID19 symptoms, we ask that you contact your doctor and reschedule for at least 14 days out - we ask that you come wearing a mask, though if you don't have one, we do have a limited supply available - we ask that you continue to practice social distancing in our office and that support people be kept to a minimum, although minors are always allowed to have a guardian present We understand that many of our clients are eager to come in for work and we want to accommodate you, but we want to do so in a way that is as safe for everyone as possible. We also recognize that people that are more vulnerable will likely want to wait to schedule appointments or may have special requests, and we're happy to work with you to make arrangements that will help you feel comfortable. Because we are not consistently in the office currently, if you are interested in making an appointment or have questions, the best way to contact us right now is by email or fb messenger. [email protected] Thanks, Keri

While we are awaiting New York to allow businesses to resume operations in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, also known as COVID-19 or Sars-CoV-2, we have been developing a plan with additional steps in how we will operate going forward. The following plan is subject to change as our knowledge of the Coronavirus expands. I. Precautionary steps in place prior to Sars-CoV-2 A. While rare, because of the potential exposure to blood, we follow universal precautions, including...Continue reading
