Thank you to Kathy Lawler and the great people of BIG I Central New York for their donation of new winter hats, gloves, and scarves of the men, women, and children at Emmaus. What a blessing to be able to offer these to our guests!

2020 has been a difficult year for many of us with the loss of jobs and businesses, family members and friends, and stability in the face of the COVID19 pandemic. For this, we continue to pray for God to keep us in His hands and protect us through this crisis. As we move into a New Year at Emmaus Ministry, we can recognize the blessings 2020 has brought us for which we are most grateful: * Healthy staff, volunteers & guests * Uninterrupted meal service throughout the pandemic... (with over 33,000 meals served) * Launch of our Mobile Meal Ministry into adjacent neighborhoods * Record number of monthly grocery bags distributed * Successful children's book fair and Christmas present giveaway programs (over 50 families served) * Addition of an administrative assistant, and meal distribution and mobile meal coordinators * Established a green scape area and flagpole in front of the building * Replaced broken sidewalks and repaved the parking lot * Began building a canopy at the front door for weather protection during outdoor meal distribution * And celebrated our first anniversary of operation in our new building on Dec 23rd! I am grateful for all who have helped to bring us through last year safely and those that support these vital services. God bless you and keep you safe and healthy throughout 2021! 120 guests were provided French toast, sausage, fruit, sandwiches, cereal, milk, juice, pizza slice, salad, and a loaf of bread for the weekend to help their resources go a little further. In addition, children were given activity packs containing fun weekend projects. Thank you to all our volunteers for their help and dedication during these challenging COVID months.

There is much that happens behind the scenes at Emmaus to prepare for the 1000+ meals that are distributed during any one week. Volunteers continue to serve and adapt around COVID restrictions.

Some volunteers have returned, since COVID presented in March, to make 300 sandwiches for Friday bagged lunches. It’s great to have you back!

Today was a day of records. 147 meal bags distributed (that’s 2 meals per bag for a grand total of 294 meals out the door)! And 45 grocery bags distributed in the first 15 minutes of food pantry day for a total of 80 bags today. Sadly, it speaks to the increasing need of our guests for food - BUT - remarkably it speaks to the generosity of so many that support our mission and make it happen! Thank you for all you do!

Our children’s activity volunteers provided bags with treats and books for our youth. The number of meals served this week continues to grow with most days over the 100 mark. Many thanks to all the Emmaus supporters, and our volunteers, who help to make this possible!
