It definitely wasn’t the nicest day yesterday but it didn’t stop us from being incredibly busy! Lots of material coming in and lots of shipments headed out.

Nathan Steel, part of the Empire Recycling Family of Companies, has acquired Crown Precision Components of Penn Yan and is now known as Empire Steel Innovations (ESi, Inc.). Once focused primarily on structural steel fabrication, ESi, Inc. is expanding its customer offerings to include custom sheet metal fabrication and highly detailed metal finishing. We're so excited to see what the future holds for Empire Steel Innovations!

It’s been a tough couple months of winter but spring is in the air and if the last few days are any indication we are in for a very busy season. Scrap prices are up and we are ready to rock and roll!!

Another wrapped dump trailer is almost ready to roll! We’re so fortunate to now have Truck63, the fleet maintenance garage which services all our companies. It gives us the space to do projects like this in-house!

It can be scary when you're behind a truck that is blowing snow and ice off the top of the trailer. That won't happen when following an ERL or Empire Recycling truck! We scrape the snow off before it even leaves the lot. Brutally cold today with clear blue skies.
