We love to see the creative ideas and beautiful cookies coming from other businesses specializing in baking for your four legged friends! It is truly a labor of love requiring a lot of equipment, time, skill, creativity, and inventory. We did feel compelled though, as full-time healthcare workers with far too much experience in diseases, to mention to our customers to use caution with some of the companies packing alfalfa or other hay as filler for their cookie bags. While w...e love the idea of a fully eco-friendly solution for filler, hay has additional moisture content. When you put a product like that in a sealed environment, it can essentially create a Petrie dish for mold and bacteria (most dangerously botulism, which has a preference as it is to alfalfa) that is now able to "feed" off of the sugar in those lovely cookies. Just a PSA as we want everyone to be safe, healthy, and happy...
