Ever wonder how science and the natural world work together? On April 12th Erie County 4-H will be hosting a Virtual Field Trip with The Wild Center; a natural history center in Tupper Lake, NY in the center of NY States Adirondack Park. Join a Wild Center Naturalist at Otter Falls on April 12th at 4pm to examine the unique adaptations of our North American River Otters. Learn about the history of otters in New York State including their incredible comeback. We will head, virtually, to Wild Walk to view the Adirondacks and otter habitats from above. Did you know NYS ranks 4th in the country in cheese making? Join us on April 22nd for a live Zoom tour of Eden Valley Creamery. Discover Cheese will feature Josh, cheese maker at Eden Valley Creamery. After the tour 4-Hers will be guided in a food science activity making fresh cheese in their home kitchen. Join us on October 24th from 4-6pm at Bippert's Farm Market for our Annual 4-H BBQ Fundraiser. There are two meal choices. 1/2 chicken with salt potatoes, salad and roll for $12 or 1/4 chicken, 2 pork ribs, salt potatoes, salad and roll for $13.
