Many knew Daryl as a top notch and s...tand up guy that would go to great lengths to assist anyone in EMS or fire. Daryl leaves behind a loving family that will miss him dearly. Today we showed some love and support for our Bath Fire Department family Spencer and Karen Longwell buy giving a little parade in front of their home. Karen ha...s the Coronavirus and is hospitalized and on a ventilator. She has made some positive improvements but needs many prayers. Spence was overwhelmed by everyone who joined in. Many of you know Spence and Karen and they have done so much for our community and would do anything possible to help anyone in need. Spence and Karen we love you guys and you know we are all here for you anytime you need us. Many prayers from all of us in the BFD. Special thank you to the Bath Village Police Department and the Hammondsport Volunteer Fire Department for your attendance as well as the many family and friends. On Saturday 01/16/21 at about 9 am, Community Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a reported structure fire on Warner St. CFR Units arrived on scene and confirm...ed a working basement fire. CFR was assisted by Spencer Fire Department, Erin Fire Department Odessa Fire Department, Greater Valley EMS, NYSEG and Town of Van Etten Code Enforcement. The fire was contained to the room of origin and there were no reported injuries. All departments were back in service within two hours of the time of call. CFR would like to thank all those who responded to assist and a job well done by all. Special Thank you to the Chemung County Fire Control and our behind the scenes Dispatchers for all their help and coordination today.

We at Steuben County NY firewire ask that you all help pray for this individual as he is fighting covid-19. For those of you that does not know Daryl, he's is... a Critical Care Paramedic with AMR and also a long time member of Bath Ambulance. Hes a teacher and a good friend. This man has one of the biggest hearts around. So please pray for him and his family that he gets through this. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a member of our fire family. Krislyn Manwaring lost her battle with Scleroderma yesterday at 10:15 am. Krissy was a ray of sunshine and brought light to everyone she met. Always smiling and thinking of others. Krissy was loved by many and will be missed in our community. Please keep her family in your prayers

After 32 years of service as a Chemung County 911 dispatcher with Chemung County E-911, Mahlon "Bud" Baldwin retired. Tonight also marked his last "Santa Watch"... broadcast.
