Meet Glenn Hutnick, CPO, FAAOP Glenn attended @nyuniversity Prosthetic and Orthotic program and is a certified Prosthetist and Orthotist. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetists, the highest honor bestowed on a practitioner for their education and service to the profession. Glenn has over 35 years of experience as an educator at @nyuniversity @columbia and in private practice.... He is the past President of the NY chapter of #AAOP and founder and past President of #NAAOP Glenn has lectured extensively during his years of practice and has been involved in numerous research and volunteer programs both in the states and in the Caribbean. He joined the staff at @eschen_neops_po as Director of Prosthetics for their practice. Glenn has advanced training in many aspects of Prosthetic care including #myoelectrics upper limb, #microprocessor knees, and advanced foot designs. He is known for his skills in advanced socket designs and vacuum systems. Glenn has been involved in research and development of improving socket systems over the last 25 years.

This is Katherine! Katherine is an avid hiker, clocking in over 800 kilometers in her orthotics from us! She came back for a new pair and is very happy to be working with NEOPS to keep her feet in tip top shape!

Our practitioner Haris Kafedzic, CPO in our 73rd Street office testing out the #ottobock Myo Plus pattern recognition software with the BeBionic hand for a lucky patient. Eight electrodes in the prosthesis control device measure the movement patterns of muscles in the residual forearm and assign them to certain hand movements or grips. Tying shoelaces or turning a doorknob, for example. When the patient reaches out for a bottle of water, the Myo Plus prosthesis control d...evice recognises the associated movement pattern and gives the prosthesis the command to perform the respective grip or rotation. Anthony is using a #medialunloaderbrace Medial unloading braces are designed to relieve #osteoarthritis knee pain. Wearing the brace can help improve mobility by generating unloading to the affected knee joint.

Meet Ryan and his #squad This is Ryan’s first day with his #cranial #remolding #helmet Cranial remolding helmets are used to gently correct the shape of babies’ skulls over time. ... As the baby grows, soft plates that make up the baby’s skull grow into allotted open spaces in the helmet. This helps remold and reshape the skull. Also they’re completely #customizable (See previous posts for some fun styles!)

Meet, Haris Kafedzic, CPO Haris was a member of the inaugural class to receive a Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from @northwesternu Feinberg School of Medicine. While attending Northwestern University, he was part of a small group of students selected to travel to Guatemala and provide orthotic and prosthetic care to underprivileged patients through Range of Motion Project... Haris’s personal story has greatly influenced him to focus on prosthetic care. He started working for @eschen_neops_po as a dual-discipline resident. He completed his residency, passed his board exams, and is an American Board Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist. He is Eschen’s lead Manhattan Prosthetist and 73rd Street’s facility Manager. Haris has advanced training in many aspects of prosthetic care including #myoelectric upper limb prostheses, #microprocessor knee and ankle units, and has treated over 35 #osseointegration patients to date. He is committed to helping every patient achieve their maximum functional potential utilizing the latest technology and technique

Oh, Yasmine This extra special woman is a bilateral above the knee amputee (one side hip #disarticulate ). She has been getting her legs made by @eschen_neops_po for over 30 years and melting our hearts since the first day she stepped into our office....
