Adirondack Interpretive Center 28.04.2021

Join us on Saturday, April 10th at 1:30 pm, for our second installment of Mud Season Movies. In addition to this PBS Nature film, we will be showing a short clip from BBC's "The Hunt", showcasing the American marten and filmed here on the Newcomb Campus. Beavers have been busy cutting down saplings along the Sage Trail for their winter food cache. They have built a lodge on Belden Pond and have been hard at work hauling food down the hill and adding it to the food pile.

A pop of color on the forest floor. Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) is common along the AIC trails. The berries and the plant are edible but should likely just be sampled for a taste as the oils can be toxic.
