Immigration Update: Biden’s new immigration team has stipulated to not raise fees on immigration filings. The fee hikes were introduced as a Final Rule under the Trump administration. In short, the Biden team is starting to walk the talk. The original Final Rule appeared in the Federal Register on august 03, 2020. It was challenged in Federal court and a nationwide injunction was ordered by a Federal judge to freeze implementation of the fee hike. On February 2, 2021, Preside...nt Biden issued an Executive Order on Restoring Faith in Our Legal Immigration Systems and Strengthening Integration and Inclusion Efforts for New Americans. On February 10, 2021, the new Secretary for Homeland Security, Alejandro N. Mayorkis, and the new Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Tracy L.
