, Nicole, aka Nikki comes from our small town Cooperstown! I’ve watched her grow for many years and I knew as soon as I saw her Cosmetology work that I wanted her under our roof! Nikki comes from a huge, loving family; she lives for making big strides in life. She loves her horse, her family, she loves making people feel beautiful. Her soul is as sweet as ever and her drive is something you don’t see in many young adults! She never gives up ...even with all the obstacles she’s faced over the years! When she reached out to me.... I knew she’d be a perfect fit to our team and immediately I messaged my girl, Alexis to break the news!! Here’s a little background on our newest stylist!! I graduated from the OAOC BOCES Cosmetology class, obtaining my 1000 hours back in February. I’ve worked on many different musical theater shows in the hair and makeup department, attended and competed in SkillsUSA and I placed 3rd (while on a knee scooter due a surgery) in the regional competition my senior year, which would have allowed me to attend states this past spring and then as we all know the pandemic hit. When you work on quarantine hair Right before quarantine I saw Cas and we had a blast... months later I was able to freshener her up and work wonders on her stubborn hair!!

There seems to be a rumor flying around that we have had a positive case of Covid-19 in our salon. Please know the accuracy on this is incorrect. There was a situation where a client needed to be tested so until the results came in we notified clients that we needed to reschedule until we had those results (which where NEGATIVE!!)! Out of respect for the client and also HIPPA I will not disclose any further details. Stay well everyone!

So here’s the deal! I have this girl, she’s young and we adore one another! We alwayssssss have a plan and when we’re in the chair it changes! So this little babe went from hair not being done for more than 3 months to us finally connecting! It’s like she never left. She literally said I cannot wait to see the final Outcome and I promise I’m going to try not to scream because I love it so much.... sooo we worked hard to get here! But look at this girl! I’ve been waiting to make this post for a long time! We have a guest stylist that will be with us starting ASAP, as she waits for her home based salon to reopen we are happy to announce that our girl Kaleigh will be joining our team. She has been licensed for a few years and has a natural born talent! We are so excited to have her & she’s excited to see you! As most know we filled up fast and are unavailable so with Kaleigh joining us we are able to do more bookings! I spent this morning doing a deep clean on the salon and worked on our Covid updates. The salon definitely has a different feel to it then usual but hopefully we will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel on our pandemic soon. For now we no longer have a waiting area.... Our coffee bar is closed, however we will continue to provide bottled water. We have posted to our bathroom & wash stations Clean/Dirty signs for after use as reminders to clean after your appointments if used. (Not necessary but a nice touch I think) We have posted at our main desk our Department of Health Safety Plan for NYS. (Easily available if needed!) We posted our safety guidelines to the page yesterday, for those who do not have internet access or need a refresher we have placed these guidelines for review in between work stations. Speaking of work stations you may notice there hasn’t been a change in distance. As much as we miss and love each other’s company and working together, with needing to work around each other’s children & spouses work schedules we will remain to have only one stylist in the salon at a time. So for this reason we have not made any changes to our stations. Continue to stay safe and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to us! We can’t wait to see you!

Well I’m up bright and early and got here to the salon at 6:45 this morning! Cleaning and organizing away to make the salon a safer space! Our Plans to Keep You Safe Mask are to be worn at all times. This is per Governor Cuomo’s executive orders 202.17 & 202.18. To maintain proper social distancing, we tend to only have one stylist in the salon at a time and give you the proper one on one attention you deserve. We will allow one adult to accompany minors and to those who may require extra assistance. Doors will be locked to prevent anyone other than the client scheduled to enter the salon. Once you arrive ...for your appointment please text or call your stylist to make sure they are ready for you to enter. We will be doing temperature monitoring. We take responsibility for ourselves and will be monitoring our temperatures at the beginning of each shift. We will also be checking client’s temperatures and keeping a log that will remain private to the stylist and client. Our promise to you is that if we are not feeling well, we will not be coming into work and will reschedule your appointments. If you are feeling sick, we ask that you do the same and cancel your appointment if necessary. We will be asking that once your temperature has been checked that you please go to the wash sink and clean your hands. Effective June 15th, 2020 we are implementing a 48 hour cancellation notice or else we will require a $25 cancellation fee. Scheduling is hectic and because of everything going on during this time we may not be able to fill that space in under 48 hours and that would not be fair to ourselves or to other clients waiting to get in. (If we are feeling unwell and have to cancel your appointment this fee will be waived, or you are cancelling due to not feeling well!) Please be on time for your appointments. We have scheduled our clients in a timely manner so that we can clean properly in between clients and we can not have that time cut into as we have mandatory guidelines we have to follow. Lastly, some of our staff is immune compromised and would love to get back to work! The only way to make this possible for them is for the guidelines to be followed so please do so! Thank you for understanding, we look forward to seeing you all in the next couple of weeks!

Hey Everyone! We know there was some confusion yesterday and rumors spread of salons being placed into Phase 3 instead of Phase 2 and then the fact that Phase 2 was going to be placed on Pause. Here's what we know:... We are Phase 2! That has not changed however our services have been limited. I just watched Governor Cuomo's briefing. Our region is open to Phase 2! Awesome, this is great news! However here's where it get's tricky for us. Our guidelines have been posted and that is where our setbacks begin. We are required to wear N95's, which most know this is hard even for medical staff to obtain. We have had help from a few friends and family members and we think we will be able to obtain these shortly. It is also a requirement for us to wear face-shields; again something hard for people to get their hands on but we are trying to figure it out! We may not be able to open with our previous tentative reopen date, this will depend on if we get our supplies in, in time. We are not canceling and pulling the plug on already scheduled appointments at this time but please be aware if we do not get our supplies in time this will have to happen! We busted our butts and worked really hard at getting our state licenses and we will not jeopardize them! We can be fined and even have a suspension placed on our licenses if we do not following proper guidelines and turned into the state. We get it, it sucks but its what we have to follow. Also it is required for us to go through Covid testing every 2 weeks! This is a lot for us, and to be completely honest a bit emotionally overwhelming! ::Clients:: Apparently a rumor is going around that salons have now been placed into Phase 3 of reopening the state. So far this is just a RUMOR! I watched the news at 3pm today and it was stated that from what they are aware of we are still Phase 2. Until we are told otherwise from our Governor we still believe we are Phase 2 as he had previously stated. ... However please note guidelines still have not been placed on the NY.Gov website. I am checking it periodically throughout the day looking for updates. When we hear more accurate news we promise to post and keep you all updated and in the loop!

we miss you!!! As we are winding down rescheduling all of our previous appointments please have patience!! It’s hard to try to manage every single person we haven’t laid eyes on in two months! A new rules to follow as we open our doors!... 1.) APPOINTMENTS ONLY, we can NO longer take walk-Ins at this point. This is for the safety of our staff and our clients. 2.) PLEASE DO NOT bring anyone to your appointments, unless you’re the mother, father, care taker, grandparent of a child who’s getting their hair done. Our tiny waiting area will not be open to anyone except the above. Also, this is for everyone’s safety, plus it is extra sanitation time and we need to be as detailed as possible! 3.) MASKS, have to be worn by all clients. This isn’t our rules this is the governors rule.. were hoping it won’t be forever, but for now & for protection we have to follow the rules. 4.) We will a 48hr cancellation policy. Due only being able to accept clients by appointments it would be very unfair to our other clients and stylists who plan accordingly!! If a client DOES not comply with this we will charge a $25 fee. This isn’t to hurt anyone or annoy them, but there have been so many times in the past people don’t show up just because and we can’t afford to be at work and not be working. So please keep in contact with us! We want to help everyone the we can! 5.) We will have hand sanitizer over the salon, please use it. 6.) Appointments will be spaced out due to the new guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing! Make sure you do not enter without checking with us first! 7.) We will only have one stylist in our salon at a time, or square footage is perfect for what we were doing before but for now this is for everyone’s safety!! 8.) We LOVE all of you, but if you are sick, have been sick 72 hours prior to your appointment, please, please cancel! We can’t risk anything! Also, both Samantha & Kery are high risk and need to take extra precautions at all times. 9.) We have a few upcoming !! Which we can’t wait to share, we’re just working out the kinks!! 10.) Always remember

As all of you know this time has been difficult for everyone! With that being said, a lot of my life has changed... my cute little family will be moving at the beginning of July, my kids will be home all summer and maybe longer depending on how school goes in the fall.. my kids need their mom, they actually really me! My entire life I have worked so hard to support my kids. I have always worked at least 75-90hrs (between 3-4jobs) a week because I never knew what it was l...ike to just be home and enjoy/love what life has given you! COVID has really been an eye opener for me. In the beginning I was like ahh I can’t work wa wa wa... guess what? Now I’m like omg why would I ever want to work the way I did? With that being said, I have made a choice to take care of my family first! I’m not stepping down from any of my jobs, but I will be easing up a lot. I will always do my best to fit everyone in and take care of all my wonderful clients needs... but I also need everyone to know that my family has needs and I need to be there for them! So, from here on out, I will answer any questions or concerns from all of you, I will book your appointments accordingly (to the state guidelines), things will be different but we’ll make it work! We’ll still laugh, talk and share all of our stories. My heart belongs to all of you but first to my family! So let’s work together to make all of our time spent with one another the best it can be! Now that everyone knows my life I will be working in the salon Tuesday, starting June 16th. My girls will be working other days, but never two or three of us at the same time, this is for the safety of all of us! We will follow proper guidelines and sanitation. As some of you may have seen Governor Cuomo has finally announced which phase stylist fall under. We are in fact under Phase 2, which is awesome! We can’t wait to see you all. Even though Phase 2 is expected to open as of May 29th as long as Phase 1 has no hiccups we will be delaying our reopening. We have decided our tentative reopen date will be June 15th. We have chosen this as a precautionary in case Phase 2 doesn’t start right at it’s expected date as well as us wanting ...to make sure we have all the proper cleaning supplies to keep up with proper guidelines. Many salons across the United States are struggling to find all of the necessary extras we will need, which is expected. We hope with this extra time we are giving ourselves we will certainly have everything in order to reopen properly and to the satisfaction of being able to remain open during these crazy times. We do not know all of the rules yet for us to be open as they have not been announced, however one thing we do know is because of proximity regulations at the moment, masks will be required while receiving your service until stated otherwise. We understand some may not agree or like it however this is for a fact something we already know will need to be in place for us to open our doors and for the safety of yourself and us. Lastly, I’d like to address schedules and walk-ins. At this time we will not be able to accept walk-ins as we will be catching up with those who have had to reschedule appointments first. Your stylist will reach out to you with dates and times that they have available to offer you. We ask that you please bare with us as everyone’s schedules are being condensed as part of our plan we will only have one stylist in at a time with one client at a time for extra safety precautions. Hey everyone! It’s been awhile since we have checked in. We hope all of you are doing well and staying healthy. I just wanted to give a brief update for those who are wondering about when we will be opening back up. We’ve seen many different and random articles out there about which phase salons fall under in the reopening process. Many never say the same phase. I’m closely watching and keeping up to date with the NY.gov website and staying as informed as possible straight fr...om there as we believe that is our best resource through this. Salons have yet to be announced which phase we will be in and while we are hopeful for phase 2 we please ask that you be patient with us. We still haven’t been given guidelines on what we have to do in order to be opened and while we have ordered extra things for the salon for the necessary precautions that are a definite, we are still waiting for those supplies to come in. The reality is everyone is our industry needs them and there will be some hiccups and bumps in the road, but as usual we will conquer! Please stay patient with us and we hope to be able to give a date of reopening soon. When we do get a date we will be reaching out to you for appointments and get everyone in within a reasonable time frame. All Our Love,
