A legitimate rebuttal by the ultimate New Yorker! The subject matter being an opinion piece on why New York has lost its way? By Jerry Seinfeld Nytimes It’s easy to level disdain for anything during a low ebb, but during a pandemic where distance is a critical factor cities are never going to fair so well. That aside, given everything thus far, NYC is trending better than most states. Had the crime rate gone up; yes. Does that mean you run for the hills, not necessarily, ...the media inflates the real world experience of living in what is still a vibrant city. Jerry hits on what makes New York; New Yorkers! It’s less location and more a state of mind being a New Yorker. It means you don’t whine when things are a little tough, because the collective benefits of living in a city like New York outweighs the cons. Ride it like the stock market, there are ups and downs, take the rough with the smooth. Business as usual shall resume shortly!...how long who knows, meanwhile embrace the new normal and take the opportunities that exist in times like these!
