When you love your cats, but they’re not allowed at the wedding. Who else would’ve had their animals in attendance if they could? Definitely a yes for me. The good news- there are many ways to incorporate your pets in your big day! And of course we can help with that. ... #eventcoordinator #catsofinstagram #ilovemycat

But what if COVID still effects my wedding next year? This is currently the #1 thing I get asked. I totally understand that feeling of uncertainty, not knowing what the future holds. How can you plan for something you’re not sure what the outcome will be? ... Another great reason to hire a coordinator. We will walk through all of this with you. How to plan for it, the necessities, protocols and precautions to be aware of, back up plans, the right questions to ask when booking vendors, discussions to have with vendors already booked, etc. Planning an event in general can be overwhelming, but planning an event during a pandemic? .. Good news is, you don’t have to walk through the planning process alone. We would LOVE to be apart of all the details, COVID related or not. Give us a call, send us a DM, shoot an email our way. We’ve got you! We’ll get through this together XO, B

An intimate ceremony under the trees Fun fact- I was supposed to get married outside among the trees, but it was 40 degrees and supposed to snow on our wedding day in may Nevertheless our ceremony was moved indoors & I am so happy I myself had a coordinator who helped make the transition so smooth. ... Even though I didn’t get the outdoor ceremony I wanted, I still married my dream guy and hey, that’s what truly matters! I LOVE, love and being apart of bringing everyone together to celebrate will never get old. See more

Morgan and John What a beautiful day. The rain stopped and the sun started peaking out right before the ceremony processional. And gosh did they deserve it after having to replan and rethink all details of their wedding just two months prior! Thank you for choosing @eventsbybrielle to be apart of this with you!! The day couldn’t have been more perfect. ... : @nicoleargophotography

Send off #5 Confetti [AND environmentally friendly ] ... The tradition of send off’s actually started with gathering around after the ceremony and seeing the Bride and Groom off. This also involved guests tossing rice at the Bride and Groom. But why rice? It was meant to symbolize rain, which is said to be a sign of prosperity and good fortune! Some couples still wish to have a send off directly following the ceremony. However, over time what couples choose to be tossed has varied. Some toss lavender, flower petals or some prefer bubbles (all environmentally friendly options, by the way!) For this couple, they chose confetti! And even better, biodegradable confetti so it also wouldn’t harm the environment. Beautiful photos, happy couple, safe products..That’s a win, win for sure. : @fayekolkmann See more

Send off #4 Let’s Glooooow This couple wanted to do something other than sparklers and decided on glow sticks! Which let’s be honest, everyone’s inner child comes out when there are glow sticks being passed around. ... This also leads me to mention another great send off accessory; light sabers! One more fun way to light up your special end of the night send off. : @laurahopephoto See more

Send off #3 - Surrounded by your favorite people! Don’t have any props, but still want some kind of send off? How about everyone huddle around and you run through the crowd high-fiving your favorite people as they cheer you on and wave goodbye? ... I have to be honest, this may not seem super appealing to some, but this is probably my favorite send off. So much joyful noise, celebration and happiness, in one big pile of people all celebrating YOU. i love it. What do ya think...do you love it?! : @apricity_photography See more

Send off #2 - The traditional getaway car cans You may be thinking I didn’t know people still did this but yes, they do! ... A fun wedding tradition that was believed to have started during the Tudor period in England. As the bride and groom left in their carriage, guests would throw their shoes at them as it was considered good luck if you hit the vehicle! Throwing our shoes at the bride and grooms car probably wouldn’t go over very well now a days, so tradition then changed to tying them to the car. And since heading home from a wedding with only one shoe is no fun, Americans started using aluminum cans instead. The bride and grooms car is safe from dents or scratches, guests get to keep their shoes, everyone is happy. The tradition lives on. See more

Send off #1 - The classic sparkler send off Even though it’s called a send off so many couples end up choosing to do this in the middle of the reception instead of the very end. ... Some couples wish for all their guests to be apart of the send off. Say a handful of people left early...aka Grandma or your friend who just had a baby... now they’re gunna miss the send off photos ..but wait! it’s actually midway through the reception so everyone gets to be apart of it. And it’s a nice little breather before hittin the dance floor again. Or some couples don’t wish to have the commotion of every guest involved and so they choose to quietly gather their bridal party/parents and sneak off for the send off photos. Only to return to the dance floor shortly after without anyone noticing they were gone. And lastly, other couples wish to stay true to the name send off and do this right at the very end of the reception, hopping in the car and waving goodbye as they drive away. The best part...there is no right or wrong way, it’s your party, so you decide! We’re just here to celebrate with ya. Did you do a send off or a send off?! And if not, do you wish you did!? : @nickdantoniophoto See more

Hey, friends! Remember when this kind of gathering was a thing? ahhh the good old days.... My heart is saddened for all couples who have had to reschedule their big day, but how much sweeter will it be when we finally DO get to celebrate!? ... Until then, let’s love on each other from afar and spread as much positivity as possible. Follow along this week as I reminisce on some fun and cheerful send off’s from previous weddings! love you all, XO- B See more

Choosing a vendor Part 2. - When you initially reach out to a potential vendor- sometimes we’re just so excited and eager to find someone we end up saying something like.. Hi! my name is Brielle. I’m getting married, looking for a DJ. Can you send me more info? Thanks! (probably a little more formal than that, but you get it) Unfortunately, that just isn’t enough info. What if they’re not available for your date? Now you’ve both spent some time emailing b...ack and forth as your vendor has to ask for a date & and be sure they have availability. What if prices vary with the number of guests involved? Maybe you’re asking about a limo for your bridal party, or you need to rent chairs for your ceremony, or maybe you’re looking to hire someone to set up chairs and tables for your event. SO, with all that being said, your initial outreach should include: - Your name - Date of your event - Estimated # of guests - What info/service you’re looking for specifically. If you’re looking for a DJ with up lighting and a photo booth, mention that in the initial email so if they don’t offer those, they can let you know right away and maybe even recommend someone who does. Follow those simple guidelines and you’re already setting yourself up for a successful planning process! Don’t you just love planning events?.... I know, I know. Me too XO, B See more

Choosing a vendor PART 1. - When researching any vendor, I can’t stress enough how important it is to READ REVIEWS & of course, ask questions. You wouldn’t hire someone for a job at your company without checking their references or asking questions first, would you? (..or maybe you would....) So anyway, read those reviews! They’re important. Such a great way to see if past clients have had good experiences with a vendor, if they’re reliable, accommodating..., easy to work with.. you get the point. Also, ask questions! Be prepared with a list of questions to ask at your initial meeting or phone consultation. And if later on, you remember something you didn’t ask earlier, don’t be afraid to reach out again. Along with reading reviews, reaching out to your vendor will also help you determine if you’d like to work with them or not. Are they friendly? Accommodating? Seem to be excited about what they do & helping you? Do they respond in a timely fashion? (please remember though, if you reach out over the weekend, they’re most likely working an event, so you should expect a response the next business day.) This should help you determine your connection with the vendor and whether or not you think you’d enjoy working with them. You’ll be spending a good amount of time talking and meeting with your vendors, you want to make sure you connect well with them! So please, read reviews, talk with your vendors personally and ask those questions! And if this seems like all too much to handle, remember, as a Day of Coordinator, I would be happy to help in researching vendors and giving recommendations. I’m just a phone call, email or DM away!
