Excelsior Martial Arts Ni

Dear parents and students - We hope that when you read this that all is well. As you know, New York State has extended the non-essential business closure order until at least sometime in June, with no guarantee that we will reopen or if openings will be gradual. We have stopped all tuition payments beginning in April because we thought that it was the right thing to do considering that the dojo was unavailable to us. Due to the nature of our training (close contact with ot...hers) and the social distancing requirements set by the government, we don’t see any relief in the near future. Meanwhile, we are still paying rent and utilities for a location that we cannot use with no income to meet those demands. In addition, the risk of students becoming ill because of the training is one that we will not accept. Therefore, with a heavy heart, we are announcing the closure of Excelsior Martial Arts Ni. It was indeed an honor to have met and trained with all of you. I wish that there could be a way to get around this, but I cannot think of one. Reality is what it is. All of you are very important to us and we wish you nothing but the best in health and success. Remember that the dojo is what you make it. It can be anywhere because the dojo is you, the lessons that you learned, the memories that we shared and the discipline and dedication to practice is within you. No government regulation or virus can take that away. Please stay safe and may God bless each of you. See more
