It is haul out season. Reminder! If you take your boat out of the water, take down your canopy. Without the weight of the boat, the wind will send your lift sailing. It is also MUCH easier to stand on the boat to remove the canopy over hauling ladders out the dock.

CHQ Covid Update.... a person on the large flotilla of boats off Long Point July 4th weekend tested positive. We are asking.....please stay away as we are on your docks and in your boats. We like seeing everyone. Josh especially is super friendly and has a hard time being 6’ away. We get IT!! But.....we also have to be safe. Inadvertently we have already been exposed several times just by being on boats and docks. We want to continue service calls, so be kind and stay like 15’ away. Just to be extra, extra sure! Keep us safe. Even more importantly. Keep yourselves safe! We want CHQ to enjoy the heck out of the water this summer

Good News! Recreational boating is now permitted in NYS. PLEASE REMEMBER! Social distancing is still in effect! Let’s not ruin the fun! Let’s not have complaints against our industry! We can 100% operate with little to no social contact. Our shop is CLOSED. Our office area is not open to the public. We can operate by phone/text. You can mail a check for payment or drop cash is a pre-arranged location. If you pick up a boat/jet ski, HOOK n’ GO. No lingering. No hanging out. If you’re on the lake, do it with your own household members. No big parties out there with everyone tied off!! Let’s keep our privilege to social distance ourselves while enjoying something we LoVe! The GOOD news!!! We can do docks as a part of landscaping. The BAD news: Per my phone conversation with NY Empire State Development, all marinas in the state are closed through the end of April. We are subject to fines if we are caught working. Even among our own family members. Even if we remain socially distant. Even if we work different shifts. I have applied for a designation with NY to remain working so we can at least start unpacking our buildings. This is subject to... approval. Stay tuned. I will be sure to post the official decision. We will be running at least a few weeks (maybe a month) behind this year. Please! Send back your forms! Please! Be flexible with dates and plans this season. First boat of the season. And maybe the earliest? We usually have a bit of snow the first week of April. People are working remotely and social distancing in their lake homes.
