All different shapes and sizes, pictured are 5 out of the 8 unique "wands" that we made for one of our customers. Everyone we sent this job to for jig bore or grinding refused the job so we decided to try them on our mill. After a few test samples we came up with a viable solution and were able to complete the job well within spec. Not our typical type of work but when a customer needs help, we are more than happy to assist. This customer has a fairly large dust collection system and the lower section on one of the hoppers had suffered from some pretty severe rust. The replacement hopper we built for them was made from .250" steel and was 48" 51" at the opening. We went down on a saturday morning so that the customer didnt have to shut down production and cut off the bad section, and welded the new section into place. We and more importantly the customer, was thrilled with the results!

To deep to nail the specified corner radius in one shot, and not exactly an easy one solely on a manual machine. So we compromised. We roughed out and finished the profiles in our @haas_automation cnc, and after a quick trip to the bandsaw it found it's way to one of our @prototrak mill for finish sizing and a few other features.
