HE BURST INTO TEARS!!! "God told me to tell you!" I cringe when I hear that from those claiming to hear from God. This is how I share messages I believe Jesus h...as given to me for individuals ... I was teaching in a house church ... this man walked in ... didnt know him ... as I looked at him I heard Jesus say to me ... "This man is struggling. He has a problem with pornography. He looks at magazines on night shift ... he's hurting. Heal him." Well ... the meeting continued on. He just sat there in the crowd. How was I going to minister to this man and help him? If I called him out privately, what would I say? So I decided to respect his privacy and decided to pray on everyone in the room and see what happens when I got to him. A principle I use is this: under the new covenant I need to speak in grace and faith. In Romans 4:17, Paul describes faith in terms of God calling forth the positive rather than expose the negative. So when I got to him, I looked him in the eyes and he just stared at me ... so I called forth what God wanted for him. I described him as God saw him. "Brother ... Jesus told me that he really loves the way you love your wife. He admires how faithful you are to her and that your heart and eyes are only for her. Well done good and faithful servant." HE BURST INTO TEARS .... "you really know what's going on in my life ... you know dont you?!" I responded: "Paul says that God justifies the ungodly. We were all ungodly at some stage but now says that we are JUST! You are a faithful son of God and faithful husband. That's who God says you are!" The tears continued on ... He fell to the floor ... crying repentant tears. He was set free that night. After 15 years he found me on Facebook ... just last week ... he told me that it was ministering to him in love ... that changed him! Paul says ... "Its the goodness of God that leads us to repentance".
