We join the greater Fairport community in mourning the passing of Greg Polisseni, who died unexpectedly last Thursday morning. As a member of the board of the P...olisseni Foundation, Greg (second from right in photo) joined his family in supporting the refrigerated ice rink at Fairport Junction, approving a $50,000 grant toward its purchase in 2006. The rink stood each winter for 13 seasons and was enjoyed by thousands of skaters annually until being decommissioned by the village in 2018. We are grateful for the support that Greg and the entire Polisseni family and Foundation have shown us over the years. Greg’s sister, Valerie, (also pictured) is currently a member of our Advisory Board and previously served on our Board of Directors from our inception in 2012 through 2019. A very good man and truly great talent is gone far too soon. Greg epitomized the best of what Fairport can be. Our loss is immeasurable. RIP, Greg, and thank you for your many gifts to our community.
