Scents 4 My Soul - Small Business Highlight #BehindTheSigns Located in Huntington NY, Scents 4 My Soul is a home-based health and wellness business that offers all-natural holistic therapeutic health solutions. Scents 4 My Soul focus is to help people distress and relax with aromatherapy products as an option to OTC (over the counter) medications. They also help people relieve body aches and pain with their all-natural handcrafted essential oil specialty pain relief blends w...ithout CBD, Hemp, Drugs, or Chemicals. In business for 12 years, Scents 4 My Soul is family owned and operated. Originally, the owner Carolyn Miles went into business to supplement her income. But then, Carolyn realized she more importantly wanted to be able to spend quality time with her family, and also have financial freedom and the freedom of time to grow her business. Due to COVID-19, their management’s current strategy is to keep the business going by directly contacting and engaging with customers over the phone. They have also, pivoted with handcrafting an all-natural anti-bacteria and anti-viral essential oil hand sanitizer without alcohol. As well as, participating in different virtual events. Because of the pandemic they have realized that their customer’s buying habits have changed since March. They are learning to adapt and have been offering customers curb side pick-up as a safe and comfortable option. They have also, updated to Square to help customers with contactless shopping, offer KN 95 masks and gloves for customers who make appointments and shop with them. The home-based business has added air purifiers and Himalayan Salt Lamps throughout their home and in their ground floor in-home display store to purify the air space. They have equipped their in-home displaystore with an UV (Ultra Violet) light and fogger. Scents 4 My Soul’s in-home display store and work space is frequently clean and sterilized. They have added additional quality control protocols and safety measures to products packaging by shrink wrapping and sealing their health and wellness line of products. For more information you can find Scents 4 My Soul on Facebook, Google, Yelp, and their website: www.scents4mysoul.com Please Note: The SBDC does not recommend or endorse any individual business.
