Good Afternoon Saints, This coming Sabbath (July 11) the church will have the wonderful privilege of celebrating Holy Communion. While it will be the first communion apart from one another, we can still experience one of the most spiritual blessings this simple, beautiful celebration has to offer.... May I appeal to you to prepare for Communion by following a few instructions. 1. Be deliberate about preparing yourself & family for Foot-washing on Fri. Eve & Communion on Sabbath. 2. Welcome in the Sabbath (Fri. pm) by inviting your immediate family members in the household to wash each other’s feet. Sing songs, read scripture. (John 13) Pray together for spiritual cleansing/ renewal/ forgiveness of sin. Remember the seriousness/meaning of the service. 3. For Sabbath service- Acquire grape juice/unleavened wafers-crackers. When we consecrate these emblems to God we also re-dedicate ourselves to Jesus. We will express our gratitude in that while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.
