The Office of Psychology (OPS) student reprentatives led an innitiative for designing a mark to be used on swag. Through an open call, designs were submitted and the finalists were used as an inspiration for this mark. Stay tuned for merchandise.

Ferkauf board chair Dr. Arlene Lu Steinberg caught up with YU News to discuss her recent re-election to the Council of Representatives for the America Psychological Association (APA), how she's helping patients navigate increased stresses during the pandemic, and the vital importance of Ferkauf's work in training the next generation of psychologists.

New Era of Partnership Between Yeshiva University and Montefiore Medicine: NEW YORK, January 19, 2021Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, and Dr. Philip O. Ozuah, President and CEO of Montefiore Medicine, signed a new agreement launching a joint Yeshiva University-Albert Einstein College of Medicine B.A./B.S.-M.D. program for highly qualified high school graduates ensuring their path to an excellent medical education and an impactful career in health care. Yeshiva University and Einstein have also created a task force to study creating joint academic and career-related programs in health care and health sciences.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Dr. Leslie Halpern as our new Dean! Born in Queens and raised in the suburbs of New York, Dr. Leslie Halpern has always been curious about abnormal behavior in children and adults. The new Dean of Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Dr. Halpern, was a member of the faculty of the Psychology Department at the University at Albany (UAlbany) for the past 24 years, most recently holding the position of Chair of the Depa...rtment of Psychology. At UAlbany she also held administrative positions as the Associate Dean for General Education and Interim Dean of the Honors College. Dean Halpern holds a BA and MS from UAlbany, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Mental Retardation Research from Vanderbilt University. I applied to the position because of Ferkauf’s well established and respected reputation as a Graduate School of Psychology," said Dean Halpern. "I am excited for my new role as Dean of Ferkauf due to the esteemed graduate programs and world renowned faculty."

Faculty and students at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology have been actively involved in meeting the challenges presented by COVID-19, from offering telehealth services to their clients at the Parnes Clinic to discussing the important psychological effects that the pandemic has had on people’s psychological spirits and equilibrium.
