Springtime is one of my favorite times of year!! Between leeks, morels, turkeys, hiking,kayaking,fishing, campfires and list goes on! Here is a sampling of the last 90 minutes. Catch and release but boy oh boy talk about fun!!! Black crappie. Hybrid bluegill, channel catfish, triploid carp, giant Koi pretty much sums up the list. Just a great recreation outing for all. As NYSOGA Director for all of Region 8 here in the Southern Tier, we are happy to point you in the right direction! Spring is here! Fish are already active and we just began daily feedings. Gobblers have been active the last few days as it is getting nicer every day! Saw the first tree swallow of the season today. No doubt Looking to take up residence in one of the 60 plus houses we have scattered along field edges. Good thing we had the opportunity to get them all cleaned out this week. After some afternoon trail trimming and maintenance, Plans include a campfire and overnight at the cabin. No better time then now to soak up the wonders of nature and just enjoy being outdoors.
