We think we finally broke winter at Finger Lakes Labs! Beautiful mid-May afternoon in Western, NY (definitely not the COVID epicenter). Sunny day, 55 degrees, pups in the pond, just awesome. Sarge is the big guy with the personality of Friar Tuck (loyal, loves venison, smart, tries to mooch malt based beverages). Sarge was given 3 months to live 8 months ago. Thank you Cornell University Hospital for Animals. Thank you University of Wisconsin Veterinary Care. Sarge is beating hemangiosarcoma of the heart thanks to the collaboration between these two research and teaching institutions. More importantly, he is winning thanks to the doctors, interns and support staff who make his treatments possible.

Congratulations to Finger Lakes Sage who made "Miss September" in the Top Dogs of Therapy Dogs United 2020 Calendar! Sage independently scaled a 6 foot round hay bale to pose for the camera shot! She's a real publicity hound . . . Congrats to her handler Christine Johnston Joy and photographer Rande Joy! When Sage is not serving as a therapy dog she enjoys big air competition. Sage does it all!
