Jillian discovered an extraordinary life form! What is it? A small team from the Finger Lakes Land Trust got out of the office for an Earth Day cleanup of roadside trash at our Etna Nature Preserve on Fall Creek, https://fllt.org/etna. Amid the discarded plastic and metal and household rubbish, Jillian found this bone featuring teeth and... a really big tooth? Further digging revealed a fuller picture of this wetland inhabitant. #EarthDayCleanUp #FingerLakes #NaturePreserve #ConservedForever Photos: Jeff Katris

It's the season of giving and conserving! You can do both when you send a gift membership to a friend. When you send a gift membership to somebody who loves the #FLX region, you double your impact. Your donation goes to work conserving land and waterand you bring new people into the growing circle of conservationists. Visit https://www.fllt.org/giftmembership to learn more. Former Tompkins County residents Anatol and Carolyn Eberhard recently donated 143 acres in the town of Caroline to the Finger Lakes Land Trust. The property is part of a larger 500-acre block of protected land that is traversed by the Finger Lakes Trail. Thanks to their generosity, the Land Trust will plan for future public access.
