UPDATE TO LAST NIGHTS POST To all our customers, family, friends and employees: You may have read the previous post about Finn's being forced to close due to decisions made by our landlord to sell the building to VLDC. That message was posted in haste mostly out of frustration. In fact, I knew that the landlord had been attempting to sell this property for years and due to decreased business because of COVID, we had declined to renew our lease several months ago. We have been... operating on a month-to-month basis since then. The VLDC provided a letter of intent (LOI) to the owner of the property which was fully disclosed to me as per our lease agreement. The VLDC is not purchasing the building to be a landlord to one tenant, instead the concept is for multiple start-ups to occupy the space including some food operators to share kitchen space to produce products. These tenants are people that are not ready for a stand-alone storefront and this would be the incubator to graduate them to a Main Street location. The VLDC did not Force me out as it was presented to them as a "soon to be vacant building" and an opportunity for this concept to take off. Prior to a final sale of this property the VLDC has multiple steps to conclude to get to that point. Contrary to what has been discussed on social media, the VLDC does not currently have the funds to purchase, instead they would seek loans, grants and other funding to be able to secure the property, all part of the work that is ahead after the LOI was signed. The LOI is in place to hold the building for a period of time while this due diligence is underway. As unfortunate as this is, for myself, our employees and customers, it is just the economic reality of our current situation. I did not want, in any way, to imply that the VLDC had caused this situation, as it seems through your comments, that many of you have interpreted our news that way. It appears that Finn's will be able to operate for the next few months and I would encourage all of our customers to come and support us during this time. Nick I
