Remembering Coach Ron...

Coach Ron Terwilliger was the heart of the swimming community in Dutchess County, especially for the FISH Masters. He inspired our founding swimmers to create this organization. He encouraged us in and out of the water. One of our swimmers said it best, "Ron was there for us, year round, training and encouraging us to be our best and to compete in local, state and regional events. And we did- at many Empire State Games, N.E. U.S. Masters Championships, NYS Parks Commissioners and Zone meets. We brought home the gold, silver and bronze, but, not for the glory, but to return his kindness and dedication." He will always be in our hearts every time we splash into the pool. Last swim sessions at the Red Hook Pool - Hudson Valley coming up on Sunday, still a few spots open (the water was about 66F this morning and will likely drop a few more degrees, so plan accordingly).

Update from the Red Hook Pool - Hudson Valley Lap Swimmers- we are still open for lap swimming, even as the temperatures are chilly. Lap swimmers are a hearty bunch!! We will stay open until the water temperature drops below 60. Wet suits are encouraged/recommended and wear 2 caps to keep heat loss down. Pool temp is 70 today. We are keeping an eye on our demand. If our attendance averages drop below 2/swimming session for 2-4 days or so, we'll close for the season. Sign up: www.redhookpool.org Spread the word to your swimming friends!

Red Hook Pool - Hudson Valley update - Attention lap swimmers! We just opened up Sunday morning lap swimming until the end of our season. Beginning this Sunday, we will have one-hour sessions beginning at 9:00, 10:10, 11:20 and 12:30. We continue offering daily lap swimming Monday-Friday mornings beginning at 6:30, 7:40, 8:50, 10:00 and 11:10. Demand is still high. As long as demand, and the weather (and pool temperature), continue to work in our favor, we'll keep the pool open until October 4th. Fingers crossed for a warm September!
